Hi, I’m Paul

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.
If you’re here, you probably want to know a little about who I am and what I do.

I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York, but I was also raised on the island of Grenada. With a father from Brooklyn and a mother from Grenada, I grew up with both city grit and island soul. I was influenced by both of them, and I learned the trades early from my father, who was a carpenter, before eventually carving out my own path in mechanics, power systems, and electrification.

After graduating from Automotive High School in 2000, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a generator mechanic. I spent four years on active duty, including a deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. That season of life shaped me in many ways, both personally and professionally. It was also during that time that I met my wife. We deployed together, which became our unique version of a honeymoon. Together, we raised two incredible kids who have kept us grounded and motivated through the years.

After the military, I continued working as a civilian contractor overseas, turning wrenches on everything from heavy equipment to industrial generators. Eventually, I joined the New York City Transit Authority as a Transit Bus Mechanic, where I spent six years before moving to Washington State in search of better opportunities and a better life for my family.

Today, I work in the EV and electrification industry, specializing in commercial EV charging infrastructure, transformers, and power distribution systems. I am a Washington State licensed 07 Maintenance Electrician and 07 Electrical Administrator. I also hold certifications in power generation, HVAC, and EPA Type II.

I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Technology at Thomas Edison State University. My long-term goal is to continue growing into greater leadership and engineering responsibility, building on a career rooted in hands-on experience, technical skill, and practical problem-solving.

My faith as a Christian continues to be my compass, helping guide both my life and my work with purpose. I’m not perfect, but I try to stay grounded in principles, keep learning, and keep moving forward.

I’m passionate about craftsmanship, leadership, and lifelong learning. Whether I’m troubleshooting equipment, mentoring others, or building toward the future, I try to bring grit, growth, and service into everything I do.

Thanks again for visiting.
